Sue Wickham's image "On Her Way" wins the Week 2 Challenge - Emotional Attachment. This image provokes an emotional response as it is one of the last images she captured of her daughter before she left for the Church to be married. Sue cleverly uses a Sepia tone and reflections to convey her feeling in this image. You can view more of Sue's work at http://www.redbubble.com/people/suse
Nicole is passionate about life and this comes through clearly in her work. For Nicole Photography is the freedom of creativity, a medium through which to convey beauty to a broken world. Using her camera she seeks to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. Her works are the result of a critical eye that is always weighing up angles, lines and colour. She has been focussing on the art of Photography for a little over 2 years and is constantly learning and improving her portfolio. The main outlet for her work is RedBubble where she has had many of her works featured in a variety of groups.
What defines me most is my faith - it is core of all I do.
Within that compass I am passionate about photography, music and slowly warming up to people. With regards to photography it’s like, everywhere I go my 3rd eye is looking through the lens of my camera weighing up angles and colours and views. I find that using your camera, you can turn something that is ordinary into something extraordinary.
I have recently also started getting involved in Charity work, one of these ventures is being a member of the Gift of Art - http://www.redbubble.com/people/thegiftofart/
This group aims to promote art's ability to communicate the human condition, contribute to research, aid, and prevention, celebrate survivors, and honor those we have lost. Please go and look at the Gift of Art portfolio – the proceeds of all sales from this Group will be donated to charity – currently, the National Cancer Institute. The reason I am most drawn to this is the loss of one of my dearest friends to cancer about 6 months ago. A life changing event from which one can never be the same.
